Hi Everyone! Well, we had a very exciting day on Friday which was Wallaby's 31 week mark!! We had an ultrasound, something we have to do monthly as a routine protocol because my thyroid hormone was low at the beginning of my pregnancy. Everything is fine, but they have to keep protocol and continue to check in every month. At this point, the ultrasounds are supposed to be all business and just quick appointments that get all the info they need and then out. Well, I just happened to get the nicest, young tech guy that was so into it and I had a great time! He showed me all kinds of things, first off, he showed me Wallaby's little diaphragm and and ribs moving up and down. He said that that was us catching Wallaby practicing breathing! It was so cool to see. The Tech was very happy with that because he said the baby needs to develop those muscles for when it comes out and starts breathing. We also had tons of good times seeing Wallaby's face and then, the tech was putting it into the 3d program and it was amazing!!! It was a window into my womb and I truly got to see what our baby's face looks like!!!! It took my breath away and it was such a treat. The tech spent ages showing me our baby and it seemed he was having as much fun as I was. We saw Wallaby doing the sucking reflex and putting its hands in its mouth and all around its face. The outcome we've come up with is that so far, it has my lips and Wally's nose! What do you think? We were lucky enough to get a photo!!!
